Swallowing Fear

by Megan Michaud   Nov 30, 2005

Wounded was her heart,
A scratch upon her soul.
Dare she forgive and forget?
Dare she let new love take its toll?

Deaf is the world,
To her throat sealing tight.
Dare she shriek her thoughts?
Dare she unveil her fright?

Blinded by the truth,
Though dragged in by his heart.
All senses are failing,
Her heart pierced with his dart.

Sparkling eyes bore into hers,
Her heart loosened from a clutch.
Slightly fragile it remains,
Though softened by the touch.
