Just Yesterday

by MizCrowley   Nov 30, 2005

One more lost
One left away
She took her life
Just yesterday

One happy day
Our paths were crossed
Once good friends
But that was lost

She took her life
Just yesterday
There was no idea
No words to say

I sit here silent
Knowing what she did
Remember Kelsey
Oh god, please forbid

These silent acts
Of death so still
Knowing for sure
That this was her will

I sit here now
Thinking of her gone
Wondering what happened,
What went so wrong?

Not just one girl
To add to a list
Of many growing
That death has kissed

The reaper has come
Again so soon
Always by night
By the light of the moon

She is one more lost
With no will to stay
She called the reaper
Just yesterday
And he gave her the kiss
Of which she asked
And now she is gone
In peace at last

Alejandra, Rest In Peace

A very emotion-filled poem. Excellent write. I too, know how I feel when I lose a close one. I am sorry for your loss. Again though, great write.

It is horrible when people close to you die, and even worse when it is suicide
i know the feeling of just adding to the list of the dead, and knowing that there are so many more people out there who felt like those who have passed away is a chilling thought because you know that the numbers will grow

i am so sorry for your lose, this is a beautiful peom
