Another Tomorrow

by Spirit   Nov 30, 2005

The loss of a loved one
is extremely hard to bare
It leaves us full of lonely days,
with nights full of despair,

With tears of pain,
and times of worry,
With low hanging heads,
and no more hurry,

We stop talking to
close family and friends,
Who would always stand by us
before the day it all would end,

They calmed our aching hearts
and would always hold us tight,
Before it was all taken away
on that dreaded fateful night.

Now all your friends forgotten
and all your dreams, along,
But you don't really give a care.
For everything seems wrong

All you think about is him,
how he filled you with joy
And given you a gift
of a little baby boy

Yet one day hope arises
you will see him once again
And you smile as your take the hand
of your beloved friend

Now your heart is full of joy,
gone forever is your sorrow
Still that day hopeful won't come
for another few tomorrows

It's saying that even though a loved one is gone and has died that you will see them again eventually when you pass on. It points out how much family guides you and loves you. How much they support you and lend a shoulder to cry on.

I can relate to this because I recently lost my uncle that I was really close to. But like it says in your Poem I will see him again.

Wow... this is so beautifully written.
it's also unique... talking about the loss of some one, not how it happened, but how you're affected... amazing
it flowed really well, the rhythm was a bit jumpy in some places, and the rhymes were great...
    5/5

The lost of a loved one
The LOSS of a loved one
    bear should be bare
for the full of lonely days thing I thought you should have used a word other than full when you put down the nights of dispair.
to close to family and friends should be TOO close to faimily and friends.
I really loved the fith stanza. :)
It was an alright poem. It wasn't my favorite. 3.
