White Roses

by Jacklyn   Nov 30, 2005

Winter's rose begins to bloom
Green fades into myth and dream
Windows kissed by seasons change
Animals hide and sleep within

Shadowing the warmth of Earth
Replaced with huge, fire of love
Children glow of Christmas hope
Days grow short, deepening roots

A frosting of spirit across the world
Blooming white roses upon the trees
The most celebrated birthday
Filled with excitement and white roses.

Very well written! The imagery is flawless, as is the flow! I really like the whole "Green fades into myth and dream" line, just lovely!
However, I found this line to be kind of awkward:

"Replaced with huge, fire of love"

It kinda broke the flow, but that may just be me. I'm not sure if you meant "Replaced with a huge fire of love" or "Replaced with huge fire's of love".
Anyway, wonderful piece! Keep it up~Holly
