You came into my life

You came into my life,
wanting me to be your girl.

But I already had someone,
so we could become friends.

Being friends gave me a chance,
to get to know you more.

I realized that being your girl,
I'd probably be happy.

But now you have someone,
and I'm alone.

So now our friendship will,
just continue to grow.
