Falling

by DeAnna   Dec 1, 2005

My heart is weak.
My hands are slipping.
My wrists are cut.
The blood is dripping.

My strength is gone.
My hopes are fading.
I doubt anything getting better,
But I'll keep waiting.

The world is against me.
I cry every night.
I've fallen so far from myself,
And nothing's alright

I'm waiting for a reason.
Hoping for a sign
Looking for something to live for
And trying to be fine

My heart is beating faster.
It feels like it's going to explode.
I'm so lost in this world.
I've lost my way on life's road.

I'm falling from myself,
And the world around.
I'm falling away from everything,
And leaving without a sound.

The book of my life is faded,
The pages frayed and torn.
I'm trying to erase everything
Since the day I was born.

I'm holding on to a time
When something mattered.
Those pages are worn from time,
Each one pale and tattered.

I'm can't forget about the time
When I was able to feel.
My life is now like a painted picture-
Everything except real.

My body's frail.
My heart is aching.
My cheeks sore from this smile
That I'm always faking.

My heart is weak.
My hands are slipping.
My wrists are cut.
The blood is dripping.

My strength is gone.
My hopes are fading.
I doubt anything getting better,
But I'll keep waiting.
