Free

by Leyesto   Dec 1, 2005

Trapt in the recesses of my mind,
where nothing but the blackened hide,
of a creature that has long since been blind,
to the light of the brightest star,
shying from the warmth of the suns rays,
growing more and more impatient,
for the one to set it free,
free from the world that has held it prisoner,
free from the things that swallows its hope,
set it free to love,
and to be loved,
to be free to bathe in the the purest of lights,
free to swim in crystal blue water,
where it never has to fear the dark,
a place to which it is peaceful,
a place to which it is welcome,
free of the torturing screams of the damned,
free of the horrifying sights, that sicken the most sturdiest of men,
waiting for someone to set it free from its own mind,
set it free to the real world,
where the wind blows softly with scents that tantalizes the senses,
and makes one swim in the many smells of the world,
where brightness is welcomed not feared,
to a place where the only boundaries are its own imagination,
