I'm sitting on a curb
A few blocks from my house
Night time in the city

Strangers are muttering
Cars are screeching
Thunder is clapping
And my smile will stay on
I'm lost in my thought,
Lost in my heart ache
Longing for a life
To make me happy for goodness sake

It's still a trickster of a smile
Only there to keep control
