Saved Me

by Emily   Dec 1, 2005

My head rests against the wall
Try to hold myself up as I start to fall
Hand pressed against my wrist
It wasn't supposed to end like this

Now I stare into space
All I can see is your beautiful face
My eyes swell with bloody tears
I feel like I'm surrounded by mirrors

I try to get up, but suddenly you're there
You gently stroke my long, messy hair
Grab my wrist and press down tight
I fall asleep and my dreams take flight

I wake up and you kiss my head
Lie down next to me on the soft, warm bed
You pull my sleeve down to cover my scars
And I know right then, you'll save me from all harm
