What You Gave Me

by Jeremy Edmondson   Dec 1, 2005

You gave me hope the life could not be any better
You taught me how to be accepted
You gave me your heat love filled and beautiful
You gave me strength to move mountains
Then something went very wrong
You took my hope and condemned my soul
You took your acceptance and so stopped my heart
You took your heart and its beauty and killed my memory
You took my strength and I fell to my knees
What went wrong?
Was it all the fights?
Did you get tired?
Really you must see your new friends do not even like you
So instead you give up the one who cares
This a healthy prelude to love after this
A dream haunted and a beautiful grave
I fear that eternal sleep too
For I know that the longer I sleep the more complicated the dream
Ill see you there like I do every night for in every lonely dream
Comes ten nightmares
