Meet The Sisters (Part One: Winter)

by Nada & Kris   Dec 2, 2005

*Collaboration, Katie started and Nada wrote every other stanza thereafter*

The pure white snowflakes fall
Where the grass was once green
Blankets of snow cover the hills
Where the flowers were once seen

I look upon the skies
And down on the snow
With a smile i start my journey
It's my time of the year

Icicles hang like diamond earrings
Branches layered with snow softly
The scene ahead is picture perfect
I take a step back to admire the beauty

The beauty of my creation
For I am the most beautiful of my sisters
And the dealiest of them all
I start turning things into ice as I walk

Surrounded by sculptures of ice
Glistening & shining beautifully
Each with a unique form of it's own
Snowflakes continue to fall gracefully

I see on one side the beauty within me
Combined together to form me
On the other side the darkness
I use both very wisely

The beauty of the snow grips me
As a ballerina would; the snowflake dances
Turning slowly to the dark skies
Cold gusts of wind breaking branches

I'm but another season
My smile never quits
As i look toward the horizon
My next destination
