Apple in my Eye

by Bradley Peter   Dec 2, 2005

Did I not make it clear
You're the apple in my eye
The one that I adore
Who makes me touch the sky

I gaze at you in the day
And dream of you at night
I can't believe your real
Your such a marvelous sight

But your so modest
You don't think it's true
You can't see how
Anyone could ever love you

I find it so cute
You knowing not your grace
You think your just another
With just an average face

Yours is the face
That could launch a billion ships
You've perfect skin
With perfect eyes, nose, and lips

You must be an angel
Lost on this earth
Sent here to teach me
An angel's worth

    Beautiful!
Again after reading this poem, I can relate myself to it.
I was in love with this girl and she was so pretty just like an angel you described in your poem, but she was so modest that she always talked about the other girls who were nothing compared to her beauty.
This Lil piece of your reminded me of her.
    Thanks mate.

Lol awesome poem..But i got a question. In the 5th stanza do you really mean shin like the one on your leg or chin as the one on your face or something that i don't know what shin means lol. But other than that it was amazing.

This is deep, and unusually for me, i couldn't find any errors haha. i really enjoyed this poem and i think the last stanza was the most powerful because it was succint and obvious, which is sometimes necessary for this sort of poem.
