Perfect

Yesterday I did the sweetest possible thing I could do
I showed you that I really do love you
With hundreds of rose petals on your bed
"I love you, Sarah" is what it said
I had the teddy bear for the first part
With a reason I loved you on every heart
Then there was the big glass rose
It will never die, just as my love goes
Six roses prepared in the vase
It was perfect with everything in place
I took pictures of what I had done
And walked outside with a smile like the sun
I got in my truck and drove away
Hoping I might touch you in some way
I waited and waited for you to call
Just to tell me that you love it all
Finally you got online
and told me I did too much this time
I asked if it brought a smile to your face
You said, "No, but the tears started to race"
I simply smiled and said well there's more
I'll be there at 5:30 waiting at your door
I picked you up and drove to the lake
Once we got there my heart started to quake
I handed you the book I made for you
With a picture on the front of us two
Then we started to look through the pages
I noticed you started going through many stages
You smiled, you laughed, and then you cried
And then I knew our love had not died
As you wiped tears from your eye socket
I pulled two keys from my pocket
I said, "These go to two different doors."
This key to my heart and this one to yours
I want you to have both of them
Cause you have my heart through the end
And when you want your heart to belong to me
Simply just hand me your tiny key
And then I had just one more thing
Just as Brad Paisely started to sing
I looked into your eyes with love and romance
And then asked, "May I have this dance?"
As we danced you said, "I'm sorry for being dumb."
While I was holding you my body went numb
And then you looked into my eyes and said, "I love you."
I looked back into yours and said, "I love you too."
