Finding Dad

by penny   Dec 2, 2005

When I was growing up all alone,
I wondered if I'd ever find home.
For my home was never a city or place,
It had to be a kind heart a loving face.

As years went by I couldn't see,
That for the answers I held the key.
I never dreamed that it would be true,
That I would be able to meet you.

Secrets, lies, were all fed to me,
Not knowing myself how could it be.
I was always the odd one out,
My looks myself without a doubt.

Now I'm seeing and knowing you,
Your love your heart was always true.
I'm on the path to finding who I may be,
Your love is a blessing which has set me free
