to mourn their dead.

Beautiful flowers
were placed
on their graves
with grieving tears.

Expressions of love
were on their faces
as they conversed
with their spirits.

The spirits whispered
to the survivors
and the survivors
talked to their spirits.

The twin flames
roared fueled
by love contained
in their visits.

White crosses
and monuments
lined the fields
and mountains there.

A sweet wind of peace
blow-ed through
calming the place
and the spirits smiled.
