Garden of Lost Hope

by Kristen   Dec 2, 2005

That garden with the flowers
That bloomed each spring
That appreciated spring showers
And other treasures nature will bring
Used to be the garden
That people look for hope
It was that special garden
That helped you hang on the rope.

Whatever happened to it
I will never know
But it's lost hope
People let go of the rope.
Broken dreams
and hopeless hearts
Are gathered to silently cry
Please hang on the rope.
Don't let go and die

Now the garden is filled
With tears and shattered faith
That is broken in too many pieces
To be put back together
I don't know if they'll be that forever
But hope is the only thing.
That will be able to wring
The torn out feeling inside your heart
And start new with what you remain.
You don't need love, money, fame.
Just live to be your best
Look away from the garden of lost hope.
