Sick of Heartaches

Every single poem I make
Is all about this heart ache
Verses of depression and woe
Anguish from head to toe

Every girl I meet
Have lived a love so sweet
But before finding this happy ending
There'll surely be some heart mending

But why do us girls have to cry
Every time a boy would say goodbye
Why are we the ones always in pain?
Isn't that a little too vain?

Boys are every girl's glitch
They are our number one hitch
Though they may offer their undying love
They mess up our life, well, sort of

But please don't get mad at me
I'm saying this just for them to see
I know I've spent buckets of tears crying
But don't you ever say that I'm lying

"Your heart is not a figurine,
Your heart is not a toy,
But if you want it broken
Then give to a boy"

I got that quote from a pal
Also a heart-broken gal
She's pretty so why does she shed tears?
For a boy who she loved for more than years

Heartache strikes at any time
Your heart it will sublime
So always be that cautious
Coz love can be very noxious

I leave you then with this thought
For love I've always fought
But though I ended up with a broken heart
I've always stood up like I did from the start
