oh so beautiful
yet so terribly hard
am I the one for you?
your words glitter
in my memory,
your smile twinkle
whenever i meet your eyes
but oh beautiful stone
you are so unbreakable
not once did you let
those liquid tears fall
not once did you show
warmth unto me, as I
let you hold my broken
body, as I let my shattered
soul lose, not once did you
soften for me, your beauty,
enhanced by the soft glow
of the moonlight, but
something is wrong-
my shadowed heart cannot smile
your touch is cold,
your words are silent,
those beautiful eyes
filled with such coldness
oh sweet crystal
please soften for me
hold me tight and warm me
please be the one
to wipe my tears for me
when they fall, don't
let them soak into your
dark wool sweater
oh please don't
look away-
light gives off a horrible
glint in your eyes
you loosen your hold
one step back
release my hand
'don't soften me' said he
and i watched as he
retreated, the diamond's
sharp edges has sliced me
left me to stand alone,
bleeding on this lonely road.
as the moonlight continue to
shine down on me, I watched
as the diamond
glimmer faintly
far away from me.
