If I had a Picture (another poem for dad)

If I had a picture of your stupid face
You would probably appear uncomfortable and a little out of place
I would be in the background sneering at the back of your head
My eyes would look sort of lost because of the things I never said

If I had a picture of you, I would put it on my wall
And when I had a bad day I would blame you for it all
I would draw horns on your head and poke out your eyes so you couldn't look at me
I would take a big black marker and draw a hole where your heart should be

If I had a picture of you I would write "Bastard" at the top
I would talk to you every morning and tell you I hate you a lot
And when things don't go quite the way I want them to
I'll throw you on the floor and stomp all over you

If I had a picture of you from some time in the past
I would stare at it and compare it to when I saw you last
I would stab the hell out of you and never be charged with assault
And when I was sad, I would go to you and say it's all your fault

If I had a picture of you, I would stare at it for a long time
And I would get pissed off at how your nose is just like mine
I would tell you every day about how great I did in school
And always remind you that you're nothing but a fool

If I had your picture I would cry because you're not really there
I would yell at you and ask you why you don't care
I would cry because you can't see me but I could see you every day
Then I would scream because you probably don't want to see me anyway

If I had a picture of your hateful face
I would spray you every day with a little can of mace
I know you think I'm a failure and you don't expect much of me
So I would look at you and see all your doubt where your love should be

If I had a picture of you, my sorry excuse for a dad
I would prove you wrong and show you I'm not all that bad
And every time I thought about all you were missing, I would touch your face real soft
Then I'd look at you longingly and I'd smile and flip you off
