Her Chemically Colored Hair

by Renee   Dec 5, 2005

I said "Where in the world are we going my dear?
Why the hell are you taking me here?"
She said "I've got a secret with these treetops,
and I think you should hear it."

Well spit it out, I don't got time for these games.
Spit it out, spit it out...I don't got time.

She's got mystery in her face,
and she walks with the grace of a drama queen.
I've got to say, I'm ashamed...
ashamed of what I see.
Yet I'm hooked on the chemically colored hair flowing from the roots of her virginity.

And I said "Get me away from this...you're sick and I'm tired."
She said, "but I've got a reason...a reason to smile now."

Smile all you want, but I had no part in this.
Smile for the world to see...your bloody history.

There's menace in her face,
and she's not hiding that limp.
I used to be -so- ashamed...
now I just pity her for this sin.
She left a single neon colored hair in his cold, dead hands...
The last part of her that he'll ever hold again.

    Honestly,
Best poem I've read on here so far.

    VERY well written.
I could see something like that in an English anthology, you know?

I really like your taste. Great job.
