Trying to hide

Not knowing where to turn
Who to ask for advice
I left a candle burning
But I didn’t suffice

Losing hope with pain
Losing the smile with a frown
Hiding away the real me
Pretending to be up when I am down

Coping with losing someone
To precious for me to loose
How the tears have flooded every tissue
Making me have to choose

My life is fading, your making me see
That to go on alone is too much even for me
I need a hand to hold and a heart to care
When I fall I need someone to be there

Smiling has covered the real me inside
No one knows the real person that always cries
My heart is a haven of lonely sighs
The real me I’m still trying to hide
