The life you deplore

by blarg   Dec 5, 2005

Your life is aimless and insane
theres something wrong inside your brain
and day by day its still the same
there ain't no drug to kill your pain
every hour you sink more
into the life that you deplore
theres no excuse to justify
the blinding pain that blinds your eyes
so find a way out, tell me a lie
do anything that could loosen your strain
another chance
another drug
another pill
to numb the pain
an endless day of life routine
only you can see what can't be seen
with a barcode on your skin
its hard to forget all that you've been
self-deception is your dope
'cause inside you know
there is no hope
fight against conformity
just to lose your own identity

It rhymes well and conveys a feeling of being completely lost in endless nothing and pain but maybe wishing you felt more lost so you couldn’t feel the pain. Blah...that’s what I got from it anyway. It shows how repetition torments you and yet you have managed to compress it without making it seem like it isn’t a big deal. I like your work. X
