Hidden Promises

Hidden promises behind my lies
fake smiles cover my desperate cries

i need that shot in my vein again
i need to fly and never look back in pain

some years back even i was a fighter like you
used to live to love and loved my life like you do

how insane i sound now to my own ears
my flesh still crumbles thinking of all those years

this soul i carry inside me is getting so heavy
how violent i become but it just doesn't leave me

these games of life i nomore wish to play
just last race of my life, if i could reach my clay

as long as i keep on mixing things with my blood
i know the memories will fade of my childhood
and then as the past will slowly earse
the night will overshadow my miserable days

    Brilliant poem, especially the opening lines. Try mixing love with your blood other than 'things' and you just might be surprised that love itself can overshadow your miserable days.
    (just an advice) lol...
