Never More

by Bill Turner   Dec 5, 2005

Comfortably numb
Heartache and pain
I feel so dumb
Cannot quiet the brain

One more drink
That might be the trick
Not wanting to think
Starting to feel thick

No longer wanting to feel
Time to stop the pain in my heart
Make the night not be real
Right concoction doing its part

People never get to me
Why did I play this game?
I can clearly see
I am to blame

Never again open my life
I let myself feel love
She promised to be my wife
Must have angered the man above

I will never let anyone touch my heart
I will never again feel this pain
I will go through life play my part
Hidden by a curtain of black rain
