A Love Story... Part 3

The next diary the old woman picked to read seemed to follow the first one... It was about the same romance... The one that she began with and the one that broke her heart... She noticed an entry that she remembered like it happened yesterday...

Dear Diary-

Ha ha I have seen the boy who broke my heart those five years ago...

Five years later we met again
He still looked the same,
He wanted to go out for old time sake
I wondered if he had changed.

He took me to dinner
We seriously had a blast,
We talked about our lives these days
We talked about the past.

Then he looked at me
With honesty in his eyes,
"Walk outside with me," he said.
"For you will be surprised."

We walked into a garden full of flowers
He turned around and looked at me,
Then he hesitated before saying
"I still love you dint you see?"

"I was stupid back then
I have made a lot of mistakes in my life,
But five years have gone by since I last saw you
And I still want you to be my wife."

And from his pocket
He pulled out a ring,
My heart was beating really fast
As the hot tears began to sting.

I told him that I still loved him to
And for his heart I still longed,
But then reality came back
And I had to tell him to another man I already belonged...

The old woman could not read anymore, hot tears filled her eyes, she put the diary down and walked away...
