A Love Story... Part 5

The old woman couldn't put this diary down... She couldn't help but read on day and night...

Dear Diary-

This was the night
We had been longing for,
After nine long months
We would wait no more.

The baby was coming
I could feel it under my skin,
And you were right beside me
Lovingly tending to my every whim.

I wasn't sure I was ready
I was only 29,
But the doctors said everything looked great
And assured me I was fine.

You were so ready to be a daddy
For me to bring this child into the world,
You spent all night looking up names
You were praying for a girl.

A few hours later
Under which was now a morning sky,
We had a beautiful daughter
Who had a beautiful cry.

You promised me we would always be together
Just you, her, and me,
You couldn't wait to show the world
Your brand new family...

That story brought tears to the old womans eyes. Memories flashed in her mind as she put the diary down for the night...

    Overall, this is quite a good piece. I had to read all of them to understand it, I liked how your rhymes aren't forced - which is impressive as it is such a long story! From a writers POV I'd also congratulate (sp) you on the same tone throughout, but for the actuall storytelling parts at the beginning and end I'd recommend toning the emotion down a bit because it's already there and effective enough in the poems.

    truly inspiring. Im not sure how u wrote such an account unless it happened to u because there's so much emotion in these and it seems liek u wrote them with ease.
