True Friend

The person who is there,
even if life's not fair,

the one who truly cares,
even when life; you can't bare,

the one who helps you through life,
all the pain, anger, and strife,

the one who is there when life unfolds,
still there when life has grown old,

the one who will never leave,
and in you will always believe,

even if you start to deceive,
they will always believe and never leave,

the one who's there through the dreary nights,
the beautiful sights,

and the fights,
the one who you will never lose sight,

the one who needs no review,
always helping you through,

life's difficult maze,
showing you the way through the haze,

even when you can't find your way,
and you've hit the bottom of every day,

you don't really know if you're OK,
you feel like; from life you should just run away,

you've never been this far down,
but even still that one is always around,

helping you get up from the ground,
this is when a true friend has been found,
