Hypocrisy

by Kalika   Dec 6, 2005

The ignorance of others,
Grating upon my soul.
All Their petty complaints,
Are beginning to take its toll.

The people of this earth,
Instead of joining hands,
Are hating one another,
Tearing apart our lands.

Those that claim righteousness,
Are the guiltiest of all.
Lying, cheating, hating,
But the Commandments, they recall.

They claim to want peace on Earth,
But wars They start in hate.
For personal gain and selfishness,
They destroy and desecrate.

Chastising those who are unholy,
Antithetic in Their belief,
They are unable to be satisfied,
With one's choice of disbelief..

They pick on harmless subjects,
Such as holidays, and dates,
Claiming a belief in them will insure,
That a place in hell surely waits.

The one, single thing,
That bothers me the most,
Is the self-serving ideas,
That They seem to boast.

The good They manage to do,
That everyone seems to adore,
Is to just earn them a passage,
Straight through Heaven's door.

Everything they preach,
They so commonly betray.
Those who are most holy,
Are the quickest to be lead astray.

Stop trying to convert the world,
First internal problems must be repaired.
Start by demolishing corruption,
Then follow the things Your book has declared.
