Epiphany

"Bros before hos, man, there's nothing more true."
"Your boys, man, they'll Always be there for you."
Then, one day, you learn it's a lie.
Your best friend is gone and he didn't even die.

A simple dispute is all that it takes.
Even if you try to make it right, your friendship, it breaks.
Like a boxer in a fight, you have someone in your corner
But unexpectedly you glance back: Betrayal - a horror!
Who you thought was your ally, your comrade in battle,
He's turned on you now. Up $hit Creek and no paddle.

Blood's thicker than water. It's a fact everyone knows
'Cause friends won't give you unconditional love and that really blows.
You should be there for your friends - No sellin' out!
But they're Not there for life. That's stated without doubt.

Don't count on your friends, only Blood can be legit.
"But they're my Bros," you might say. What a mound of horse $hit!
Your "Bro" today could be your Foe tomorrow.
I've learned this harsh truth and greatly say it with sorrow.

Friends are not Family, no matter what kind.
Never hold them as close 'cause soon you will find
That water's not Blood, therefore not equal.
Family's Level of Trust shouldn't be made into a sequel
Just for a friend who's still only water.
No matter how close, your bond's easily led to a slaughter.

Be there for your friends, but don't believe friendship as strong
As Family's United Status 'cause for many years I've been wrong.
Just a weak quarrel, but a close friendship ends
Because you can't pick your Family, but you can choose your friends.

Harsh but true in its own twisted reality-but in all was very well written
