The Girl With the Broken Smile

by Leah   Dec 6, 2005

She's scared that daddy's coming home, thats why she's shivering on her bed, for daddy's touch was of pure hate, and he's wishing she were dead.

:.*

Daddy's love for mommy
was pure and so full
they were helpless romantics
a picture perfect couple.

But then my life turned upside down
and nothing was as it had been ago, when daddy would cover up my bruises, as my tears leaked through the starting snow.

:.*

When daddy took mommy
and threw her all around
the roses of blood
leaked onto the cold ground.

Her neck was all bruised
almost a jaded prick
as her blood spilled out everywhere
so red and so thick.

:.*

He told me we were leaving her
that he didn't love her anymore
and we left my mother bleeding
tortured on the cement floor.

Years ago,
I'd seen that
from my two child still eyes
and as I grew much older
I could count his decivement and lies.

:.*

But today I made him raging
because I would not let him see
the broken pieces of my mother
that lived on in me.

He took my toren book
and read its inky pages
he read about my pain
the pain I've been feeling many ages.

:.*

He threw my book at me
and ran out in the snow
and now I'm laying on my bed
thinking of memories long ago.

panamonia he's breaking loose
coming up the stairs to get me
I slam my door through my tears
knowing fully he has the key.

:.*

She's scared that daddy's coming home, thats why she's shivering on her bed, for daddy's touch was of pure hate, and he's wishing she were dead.

:.*

my daddy rapes me once in awhile
I am the girl, with the broken smile.
