You made her laugh,
you made her smile,
you made her feel,
like her life was worth while.

you held her hand,
and hugged her tight,
you told her everything,
would be alright.

the days went by,
without a single word,
then one day,
everything turned.

you held her hand,
but you grip got weak,
you finally let go,
then turned your cheek.

she sat there silent,
a tear rolled down,
if you've ever heard a heart break
it was that sound.

her world walked away,
and never looked back,
all that was ahead
was a depression attack.

in a blink of an eye
you wiped that smile off her face,
and slapped on a frown,
for the rest of her days.

her body got fragile,
her voice got weak,
night after night,
shed cry herself to sleep

after a while of heartache and pain
she learned about something else,
she took a razor, sharper than your words,
and started to cut herself.

she cut everyday,
and cut every night,
all that there was,
was blood in sight.

she cut so deep she almost died,
but its not like anyone cared,
so she cut again, deeper this time,
they thought shed never dare.

one failed attempt of suicide,
another on the way,
she gave up, put the razor down,
"this is not my day"

she kept on cutting,
he still don't care
she only wishes,
that life could be fair.

then one day
she just broke down.
confessed of her scars,
then looked to the ground.

her dad was crying,
her mother in shock
little brother had not a clue
what was going on.

parents fighting,
wondering where they went wrong
shes using all her might
just to stay strong.

they had no choice
the last resort
they went to the doctor
to file a report

she got sent away
to a rehab for cutting
it helped a little,
but not enough to stop cutting

she started downing pills
and drinking shots,
buying weed
and smoking pot

anything to get away
from the pain
she lost everything, and everyone,
only scars did she gain.

I had almost forgotten about you
until i Saw you the other night
you looked at me without a care,
and i knew what id done was right.
