As I Get Down On One Knee

You have all of my heart
why can't you only see
that I don't want anybody else
because you hold that special key.

I know at times I sound suicidal
and that I just want to pick up the knife,
but in order to get rid of that
I need you to stay in my life.

Please don't leave me
just one day up and go,
because if you do that
my life will be full of sorrow.

At times I want you to leave
but then I want you to stay,
I know it sounds confusing
because it's in a certain way.

I want you up there with me
up there in that stand,
as I get down on one knee
and ask you for your hand.

If you were to say yes
I'd lean in for that special kiss
I mean come on god
wouldn't that be kinda obvious?

But if you were to say no
I'd leave with a frown,
I tried to lift it high
yet it would still be hanging down.

I still want you to know
that I love you,
even though you don't want to be with me
I know you love me too.
