What's wrong, Daddy?

by avery   Dec 6, 2005

Where are you, Daddy?
I can't find you.
I just see this man yelling at me,
And telling me what to do.

What's wrong, Daddy?
You're not acting like yourself.
Is there anything I can do?
Anything to help?

Where's Mommy, Daddy?
I miss her so much.
I came home from school hungry today,
Because you didn't pack my lunch.

Why are you hitting me, Daddy?
I didn't do anything wrong.
I was just sitting in a corner,
Humming to my favorite song.

Why not, Daddy?
Why can't I go out and play?
I've been good lately,
And I finished my chores for today.

Why are you so angry, Daddy?
Did you and Mommy get in a fight?
I wake up to you banging on the walls,
In the middle of the night.

Where are you going, Daddy?
How long will you be gone for?
"I'm sorry my child, but I just can't do this anymore."

Wow good poem, i agree with 'megadrive' about the layout and stuff, but maybe the idea was to have it written how it was thought.... oh well, great poem keep it up

Oh, this is so sad. it reminds me of my father a little. is all of wut u write about true? if it is, some of it sounds like my life. i like how u used moomy and daddy, i dont kno why, i just did. it wouldnt have been as good if u had called them something else but this is just my opinion. nice job
