Behind her smile

by Let Me Be Your Happily Ever After   Dec 7, 2005

She was always such a good girl
she could make anyone smile
with her kind words
and the love that spread for miles

she was the one you went to
when life gets hard to deal
all though she couldn't relate
she held the power to heal

it was never her in need
we thought she had it all
a smile can cover so much
her happiness helped her fall

but as she grew older
it became harder not to cry
no one could be there for her
and her life kept passing by

the life we thought was perfect
was so broken inside
and a pretty face like that
stained red when she cried

she was hit and scarred
and bruised to the bone
the family she once loved
left her to suffer all alone

behind her smile
a lost little girl
alone and crying
in this concrete world

with no one to turn to
not even her best friend
she left her house that night
wishing for the end.

her wish came true that night
when she deliberately fell, 5 stories high
and it caused such a commotion
this reoccurring question of why?'

everyone felt guilty
circulating pain
it was like a chain reaction
causing loved ones to go insane

and i know it hurt everyone
it hurt me too
i was the best friend
that she couldn't come to...
