Stolen A Girl

by 4g0tten_f@iry   Dec 7, 2005

The rustle of dead autumn leaves
Encircle the headstones of fate
Tonight a child is robbed of her dreams
Now a woman filled with hate

No one cared to notice the rain
How separate it was from her tears
Angry the thunder tat screams her hate
For the monster who stole her childhood years

She falls down the steps, to hell they lead
For she intends not to return
The blood leaks silent from her heart
Another lesson forced to learn

Her eyes now hollowed with the black of her dreams
So numb she cannot cry
And every man she seeks for help
Tells her nothing but goodbye

The graveyard whispers unspoken fates
Of all the children just like her
Robbed of what was rightfully theirs
For their pain there was no cure

She craves the love that denied her heart
Yet she fears the touch of a man
A monster like those who taint her life
Only her knife can understand

She carves her heartache, her pain, and her loss
Wrists etched with her self-portrait
A painting so fearful of a child, a girl
Haunted by an adults regret

She screams and cries for help in vain
But only silence passes her lips
Flashes of terror erase her mind
Of her monsters poisonous kiss

How could they ignore a child’s plea for help?
How can they turn the other way?
To let their daughter stray this far
Because it was too hard for their hearts to take?

That's a really good poem. I can only hope it's not true, but assume that it is... Hang in there and stay strong. Tomorrow's a new day. xxx
