Listen to my cries

You ask me why i cry
whenever you speak
why the tears form my face
when my hearts reached its peak

why i keep it inside
running wild through my head
why not just say it
but i cry instead

you don't know me
or you would understand
the words that i speak
fall gently in my hand

because the words i cant say
or begin to describe
are the weepings on my face
i keep bottled inside

with each tear i cry
is another word spoken
but you don't hear it
cant you see your daughters BrOkeN?

i want to open up
or try to communicate
but if you cant hear my tears
then you can never appreciate

that the language is speak
is silent yet strong
my heart is screaming
and you've got it all wrong

listen closely as i cry
for its the only way i know
if you cant look deeper
then my sadness will grow

each tear is a word
that drips from my eye
instead of getting mad
and wondering why?

try to catch it in your hand
and bring it close to your ear
listen to it's cries
and it will all become clear

but you must listen closely
for its words are soft
and you've got to hurry
before all is lost

because the moment will pass
and she'll paint on her smile
and you'll never really see
her cry all the while

so the next time
be SiLeNt
and listen to my cries
feel my shattered heart
then you'll understand why!
