Live for today,not tommorow.

I want to tell a story,
of a dream i had,
about a little girl,
who has no future, with her dad.

she didn't understand why,
her daddy was no longer here,
and mummy would sit and cry,
oh so many tears.

then one day her mummy said,
'daddy has gone to heaven,
he died with many others,
on the date of 9/11'.

but you listen carefully,
he is never fare away,
his blood and heart is in your chest,
all together, were be one day.

he loved you very much,
when you were born, he was so proud,
he loved it when he tickled you,
and your giggles, echoed round.

so never be afraid, my child,
when darkness comes at night,
your daddy is the stars above,
shining on us bright.

i don't cry because of you,
its because i couldn't say goodbye.
but you know i love you baby,
its because of you, i try.

so the girl wiped away her tears,
and looked up at the sky,
said i 'miss you daddy,
but this is not goodbye'.

one day, were all be together,
mummy said, just like old times,
then once more you can read me,
my favorite nursery rhythms.

but in-fact this dream is real,
and the little girl is older,
knows her dad is gone,
but can lean on her mums shoulder.

so each year that Christmas comes,
lets think of those who've lost someone,
dont waste a day of pointless arguing,
because you never know, what could come.
