She looks out the window One final goodbye As she sits on her bedspread And bends over to cry. She knew there was something wrong Something that was not quite right But she didn't see it coming And now the world was no longer bright. She missed all those feelings Of happiness and content But those were no longer residing In her heart that was bent She closes her journal Where her last message was clear: "As long as you love me I will stay ever so near. Please do not mourn," She quotes in her goodbye. "There was nothing you could do; All I want to do is die." One last tear Rolls down a lonely cheek As another child of God Is lost in a leak.
