The Leak

by Bridget   Dec 7, 2005

She looks out the window
One final goodbye
As she sits on her bedspread
And bends over to cry.

She knew there was something wrong
Something that was not quite right
But she didn't see it coming
And now the world was no longer bright.

She missed all those feelings
Of happiness and content
But those were no longer residing
In her heart that was bent

She closes her journal
Where her last message was clear:
"As long as you love me
I will stay ever so near.

Please do not mourn,"
She quotes in her goodbye.
"There was nothing you could do;
All I want to do is die."

One last tear
Rolls down a lonely cheek
As another child of God
Is lost in a leak.
