Our Baby's First Christmas

by Billy   Dec 7, 2005

You have to hold her high up to see
The angel at the top of the Christmas tree.
And even though she's still too small
To know the meaning of it all
You can see her eyes light up and glow
At those bright lights and that winter snow
And to see that face full of delight
At every new and wondrous sight.
Santa will come soon, with his jolly face
Down the chimney and through the fireplace.
And from the stocking hanging there
Peeks a cuddly teddy bear.
The decorations and the candy canes
Musical instruments and toy trains
There's just no end to the delights
Spread out for her on this special night
She points and grins from ear to ear
And then she'll yawn when bedtime's near
Everyone kisses her and tucks her away
To awake the next morning on her first Christmas Day!
