Sarcastic Apology

by Poetvoices   Dec 7, 2005

I'm sorry I disappoint you.
I can't be good enough
to reach your perfect standards.
I find that a little tough.

If I don't wear the same clothes as you,
you won't be seen with me.
Somehow, I manage to sleep at night,
even knowing that as friends, we can never be.

I just can't stand to know that you'll never speak highly of me.
When I pass you, you may giggle and not even give me a thought.
I hate to know that just because I don't look like a model, we will never meet.
Just one finishing thought I would like to throw in--NOT!
