A true hero

by jennifer   Dec 8, 2005

Have you ever heard
you're mother cry
like shes never cried before?

have you ever seen
you father leaving
To a terrible endless war?

Have you ever felt
sorry that
his courage you might lack?

Have you ever received
A horrid letter
Telling you he's not coming back?

Well if you have
I feel your pain
I've suffered that misery

but i try to
remember that
He fought to keep me free

I'll keep waiting
until the day
The war on earth is zero

And I'll always remember
my father as
A true American hero.
