Graveyard

by HungatMidnight   Dec 8, 2005

Standing in the moon's hue,
Caressing the land of the forgotten,
I can't stop thinking of you,
And our love that was forbidden,
In awe of the dull silver shine,
Illuminating from the stones,
I forgot the happiness that was mine,
For now it ceases to show,
They ripped us apart,
And they never cared,
The pain suffocates my heart,
To tell you the truth, I'm scared,
Grim vines embrace the olden tombs,
Dead leaves scatter the ground,
I wish only to be with you,
As the deceitful night makes no sound,
The raven sings from high above,
Perched deep within the willow,
The messenger of our secret love,
Its cry filled with pain and sorrow,
Towards the gate I take my leave,
My very heart longing for you,
It hurts me that they could believe,
That for one moment I would ever stop loving you.
