A Single Teardrop

You may ask yourself
why do people cry
every teardrop is worth something

It could be a missed kiss
or the tone of the voice
of someone you miss

Or a single word
That is filled with so much hate
By the time you can fix it
it is way to late

Or from a broken home
that has heard so many cries
and you fear to go back to
because of all the dark lies

Or for when you look in the eyes
of the person you love
and you know they tell lies
and they just look away

Or even for when you try not to cry
trying to hide those tears
with your cuts
trying to hide your fears

There are so many things
that people can cry for
Just remember
the next time you see someone cry
They are crying for a reason
those tears mean something
