Panegyric, Yet Not Enough...

by MickDego   Dec 8, 2005

Of all the women in the world, none deserve more.
She'd do anything for me, yet ask nothing in return.
Possessing the heart of a saint and such astonishing lore,
Her kind, caring nature is very easy to discern.

Strong, yet compassionate, and never too bold,
It amazes me how determined she is.
Possessing a vigorous work ethic,
As if still 20 years old,
The ideal of loveliness is always pronounced "Liz."

Ask anyone and they'll tell you the same:
"Liz is the most wonderful woman I've met."
And it's a deserving reputation - she's worthy of this fame
'Cause all her life she's served others without a regret.

God will remember her when she knocks at His door,
For she's such a great Christian example to behold.
Never passing judgment, forgiving others, and more,
She's taught me by example, which I treasure more than gold.

She took care of me as a boy,
She's still there when I need her,
And there hasn't been one injury or illness
That Grandma couldn't cure.

I love her with all my heart,
But she deserves so much more.
I'd love to take care of Grandma
'Cause it's her I adore.

Grandma, you're truly a gift from God
And you mean everything to me.
Never worry, for this I swear,
The retirement home you'll never see.

Maybe it just me but it seems like your poem is a little out place in some spots maybe with a couple of word changes it might make more sense to me. But on the other hand it doesn't have to make sense to me so long as you like it
