Optimism in the Winter

by Brenda   Dec 8, 2005

A gloomy December day leads me to sadness
a pure unbridled madness
As Decembers pass I have changed
So much you wouldnt even know my name
A change that occurred against my will
I would have preferred to stay
all and everything just still be the same
but frost freeze the old and it melts away in spring
your left to start anew
The year pushes me along
I am not ready to move on
but the new December speaks only of memories past
The memories I cant return
they were lost last frost
I stay in awaiting for spring
