Sitting here and missing you,
it seems these days thats all i do,
existing quiet in a gentle stare,
wondering if you even care.
do you ever get lost and think of me,
cause things just aren't what they used to be.
its not the world that i used to know
still holding tightly to what i cant let go.
times when my heart knew happiness,
your arms around me and soft caress.
having you beside me was always enough,
just knowing you were there when times got tough.
now in this world I'm all alone,
this house of brick no longer a home.
just sticks and stones around my heart,
no one gets in, no one gets out.
no other has ever touched my heart
ill try to move on to a brand new start.
but our love lives on within my soul
