Reflection

by PammieBabe   Dec 9, 2005

She walks in the room;hand in pocket, heart on sleeve.
She sits silently and then looks at me.
With a she peers into my eyes,
And I smile as my heart flies.
No one ever noticed me before,
And I'm not sure of anything anymore.
She is the only one who has ever cared,
No matter what, she's always there.
Why she loves me, I don't know
But like an angel, I see a glow.
No, it isn't a glow, it is more like a shimmer.
Hand out of pocket, it is getting slimmer.
I see now, a razor blade.
I'm shocked as it is raised.
What is so bad that this is the only way?
Why now? Why today?
I tell her not to do it, it'll be alright,
To leave it be, and out of sight.
She ignores me and presses down
And makes a jagged cut without a sound.
Her wrists bleed, she cut too deep
Soon she'll be in eternal sleep.
She touches her face; blood is smeared
And looking at me, her eyes show fear.
Crimson tears stain her face,
Now she's an angel fallen from grace.
A teardrop flows down my cheek,
And seeing red I start to freak.
I look at her, and now I see,
That this queen of the damned, is really me.
