So a picture holds a thousand words,
But listen to the stories heard.
"Oh, look at that girl, shes so perfect."
Having the memories isn't worth it.

I'm lying to others when i fake a smile,
Because the pain doesn't go away for awhile.
It just fades away and hides behind,
A massive amount of foolish lies.

I don't want to smile; i don't want to laugh,
I want to sit and reminisce on all the pain i have.
But by looking at my picture, you could never tell,
That I'm not always happy and i go through h.ell.

But as you can easily see when a camera is present,
I make sure that in no way am i hesitant.
To disguise all i feel with these sparkling brown eyes,
You don't really see me because you're mesmerized.
By this fake picture of this fake person who looks happy,
When really shes lost and lets out emotion by rapping.

Very well done. I loved this poem.

I can relate to it. Personally, I hate to see pictures of myself. YOu know.. birthday pictures, chrismass pictures..

I hate it. As soon as some one is gonna take a pic, I always put on this fake smile "like oh look what a wonderful time we are having' .. grr

So.. what I liked so much about this poem is, that I think we all can relate to it. And.. its very original. Very unique thing to write about.

Very well done. I am impressed.

    Take care girl -xxx-
