Our Angel

I sat and I said a prayer and grace,

for someone I'll never get to see their face.

A small angel has been sent to heaven,

Tears for you have been given.

I'm sorry I never got to see your tiny toes,

No matter how unfair, it's the way life goes.

Must admit we certainly weren't ready for you,

But a part of you realizes you'll miss all the laughs and the boo boo's.

With that, some of you has been taken and a part of you dies.

Despite the uncertainty, when that happens all of you cries.

So we say goodbye to the nameless, faceless angel that is now heaven sent,

We'll never realize what you could of been and might of meant.

Goodbye sweet darling, I'll meet you one day,

And eternally in a bed of clouds, together we shall lay.
