Alone

Have you ever seen the moon without stars?
a rose without its petals,
a tree without its limbs or leaves,
maybe if you have
then if so thats whats its like to be alone.

a person without a friend
a heart without anyone to love or care for
have you ever seen a car without an engine
a bell without a ring
thats me alone without you.

nothing but darkness without light
a stream without any water
and a bird without a song
if so then you know what its
like to be alone.
